Hawks Post Strong Showings at George Davis Invitational

LOWELL, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College men's & women's track and field teams turned in a strong overall performance on Friday and Saturday, highlighted by multiple wins, program records, and personal bests at the George Davis Invitational, hosted by UMass Lowell.

Men's Field

  • Sophomore Jared Ferschke placed in the top-10 of the hammer throw on Friday, setting a new PR and program record of 50.00 meters.

  • Freshman Aidan Ryan came in first in the discus reaching a mark of 39.39 meters. Finishing behind him was junior Logan Guttadauro who finished in third at 37.11 meters.

  • Freshman Andrew Henaghen set a program record in the javelin with a toss of 57.11 meters, earning a top-five finish.

  • Sophomore Parker Gleckman placed second in the triple jump, reaching 13.30 meters to set a Saint Anselm program record. Right behind him was freshman Trevor Hunter who came in third jumping 12.43 meters.

  • Sophomore Peter Hogan earned a top-five finish in the high jump, clearing 1.85 meters.

Men's Track

  • A trio of Hawks all had podium finishes in the 110-meter hurdles led by sophomore Leo Sheriff who finished at 15.05. In second-place was junior Stephen Quinn who timed in at 15.79, and in third was freshman Marlon Tullis who came in at 15.90.

  • Sophomore Logan Montgomery had a standout day as he placed second in the 100-meter at 10.82 and set yet another program record in the 200-meter.

  • The Hawks had yet another strong showing in the 200-meter taking up all three podium spots. Montgomery earned his second podium finish of the day to come in first with a new program record at 21.21, junior Samuel Jones came in second at 21.82 and sophomore Joseph D'Angelo trailed by only a hundredth of a second at 21.83.

  • Sophomore Daniel Leet earned bronze in the 400-meter, crossing the finish line at 49.90.

  • Freshman Gavin Lombara continues having an impressive rookie season as he placed first in the 400-meter hurdles with a mark of 55.00 to set a new program record and personal best.

Women's Field

  • Junior Harmony Marquez placed third in the javelin with a mark of 42.88 meters to set a program record and hit the NCAA provisional mark. Right behind her in fourth was junior Sophia Morin who reached 41.51 meters.

  • Freshman Alaina Morris broke her own program record in the pole vault, clearing 3.15 meters to earn the achievement.

Women's Track

  • Sophomore Reese Nicolosi notched a first-place finish the 100-meter hurdles with a mark of 14.42. Close behind her was junior Meredith Pasquarosa who finished bronze with a time of 15.22.

  • Senior Rebecca Cady continues to etch her name into the Saint Anselm program record book as she placed one on Saturday in the 100-meter. The senior placed in fourth with a time of 12.23 to earn the honor and set a personal record as well.

  • Sophomore Sam Ducharme timed in at 2:20.03 in the 800-meter to place in the top-five.

  • Sophomore Petrina Ofori had an impressive first-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles crossing the finish line at 1:03.60 to set a new personal record.

The Hawks will compete next weekend in their last regular season meet at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by the University of New Hampshire, on Saturday, April 25 at Wildcat Stadium.
