NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Sophomore Logan Montgomery of the Saint Anselm College men's track and field team was named Northeast 10 Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year, while the Hawks earned the men's Coaching Staff of the Year as the league announced its year-end awards on Thursday.

As voted on by the conference's nine head coaches, Montgomery was picked as the Track Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season after winning the same award in the winter during indoors. Montgomery earns the top honor of the outdoor season after being named the NE10 Outdoor Rookie of the Year last spring.

Montgomery is the first NE10 Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year in the program's three-year history. At the NE10 outdoor championships, Montgomery won three gold medals and three silver medals to lead the Hawks to a third-place team finish, its best placement in program history.

Montgomery won the 200-meter dash at 21.00, the 400-meter dash at 46.81, and anchored the first-place 4x100-meter relay squad that finished in 40.91. He was also a part of the second-place 4x400-meter relay team that finished in 3:19.84. Montgomery was subsequently named the men's most valuable performer at outdoor championships.

Montgomery also earned USTCCCA All-Region honors in all four events this spring, and was the East Region's top runner in the 200, 400, and 4x100. Montgomery holds the Hawks' outdoor program record in all three events and also in the 4x400.

The Hawks' coaching staff, led by Peter Early, the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country, was named the men's outdoor staff of the year as voted by the other eight head coaches in the NE10. Associate Head Coach Lexi Neuwirth, cross country head coach Brian Stankiewicz, and assistant coaches Nicholas Pope, George Jumpp, and Ben Graves make up the league's top staff, as they have guided both the men's and women's teams to their best finishes in program history this spring.

With the men coming in third place and the women in second place at NE10 outdoors, the Hawks continue to improve on their placement every season at each conference championship. In the Hawks' inaugural season in 2023-24, the Hawks men's team placed seventh, before moving up to fifth last year, and they moved up two spots again to third place in 2026 at outdoors.

The coaches led the men's side to three first-place finishes, plus podium placements in the 4x400m (second place), 100H (second place), 400H (third place), and the decathlon (second place) for a total of seven top-three finishes.
