Hawks Deliver Record-Breaking Day at Ed Daniels Classic

HOOKSETT, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College men's and women's track & field teams competed in the Ed Daniels Classic, hosted by Southern New Hampshire University. The Hawks turned in multiple podium finishes, highlighted by seven new program records.

Men's Field

  • Sophomore Parker Gleckman cleared 6.60m in the long jump to earn second place while setting a personal record.
  • Sophomore Peter Hogan earned third place in the shot put, tossing 12.62m.
  • Sophomore Colin Burns set a program record in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.85m.

Men's Track

  • The men's 4x100-meter relay team placed second and tied the existing program record at 41.51. The team consisted of freshman Gavin Lombara, sophomores Logan Montgomery and Joseph D'Angelo, and senior Jaidin Haynes.
  • Sophomore Leo Sheriff notched a second-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles at 14.74, setting his first program record of the outdoor season. Lombara followed closely behind, finishing third with a time of 14.86.
  • Montgomery took home the gold in the 400-meter run, finishing in 48.39.
  • D'Angelo crossed the line in 22.07 in the 200-meter dash to place fourth and set a new personal best.

Women's Field

  • Freshman Alaina Morris placed sixth in the pole vault with a jump of 3.05m, moving into the Saint Anselm program record book.
  • Sophomore Petrina Ofori tied for third in the high jump with a mark of 1.52m, setting a new program record.
  • Freshman Mackenzie Hibbert notched a first-place finish in the triple jump, clearing 10.65m.

Women's Track

  • The Saint Anselm women's 4x100-meter relay team—featuring freshmen Sophia Guzman, Sarah Allen and Samantha DiFonte, sophomore Reese Nicolosi, junior Meredith Pasquarosa, and senior Rebecca Cady placed second with a time of 48.39.
  • Nicolosi had a standout day, winning both the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles while setting program records in each event. She recorded a time of 14.63 in the 100 hurdles and 1:00.23 in the 400 hurdles.
  • Ofori followed closely behind Nicolosi in the 100-meter hurdles, placing third in 15.18.
  • Cady set another program record and earned second place in the 400-meter run with a time of 57.68.
  • Junior Finleigh Simonds placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a personal-best time of 2:18.67.

The Hawks return to action next Saturday, April 18, at the George Davis Invitational, hosted by UMass Lowell at the Cushing Field Complex.
