NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Freshman Kendall Herrick of the nationally ranked No. 22 Saint Anselm College women's lacrosse team was named the Northeast 10 Conference Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced Monday afternoon. Herrick helped the Hawks to a 2-1 record over a three-game slate in Florida to help them improve to 4-3 on the season.
Herrick opened up the week with two goals, three draw controls, and one ground ball in Saint Anselm's 18-11 win over Quincy University on Monday. She then followed up her performance with two goals, three ground balls, and three draw controls in 15-11 loss to No. 14 Rollins College on Wednesday. The Medfield, Mass. native then capped off the week netting her third hat trick of the season in the Hawks' 10-8 win at Palm Beach Atlantic. Her play through seven games this season has placed her second in the NE10 for goals scored by a rookie and a tie for eighth in goals scored by all players.
Herrick and the Hawks will look to continue their strong run of performance this Wednesday, March 25 as Saint Anselm travels to take on Saint Michael's College (1-7, 0-2 NE10) in their first NE10 matchup of the season at 4 p.m. at Duffy Field.
