WINTER PARK, Fla. – In the first-ever meeting between the two programs, the No. 21 Saint Anselm College women's lacrosse team fell to No. 14 Rollins College by a final score of 15-11 on Wednesday evening at Barker Family Stadium.

- Sophomore Ayla McDermod notched a team-high five goals to go along with three draw controls.
- Freshman Kendall Herrick recorded three draw controls to go along with two goals.

- Junior Julia Rowley and sophomore Devan Spinale rounded out the scoring with one goal apiece.
- Senior classmates Kate Collins and Elyse Scales each recorded two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Sophomore Aiko Fujita made seven saves in goal while hauling in three ground balls.
- The Hawks outshot the Tar, 19-18.

How it Happened
After falling behind 2-0, McDermod scored two goals in a span of 1:52 to tie the game with 5:01 left in the first. The Tar rattled off three consecutive goals over 3:31 make it 5-2 early in the second quarter.
After Rowley registered her first of the game, McDermod finished off her hat trick and added a fourth to tie the game at 5-5 with 12:04 to play in the half. After a Fruci goal tied the score once again at 6-all, the Tar went on a 7-0 run over the next 9:57 to pull ahead with a 13-6 advantage with 8:41 left in the third quarter.
Hill and McDermod posted two consecutive unassisted tallies to cut the Hawks' deficit to five before two straight Rollins goals made it 15-8 in favor of the hosts.
Saint Anselm put together a three-goal performance in the final 10:21 of regulation, but were unable to threaten late as the Hawks fell back to .500 with the setback.

The Hawks (3-3) will head to West Palm Beach, Fla. for a matchup with Palm Beach Atlantic University (5-2) on Friday, March 20 with a start time scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at the PBA Lacrosse Field.
