NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Sophomore Logan Montgomery was named Northeast 10 Conference Track Athlete of the Year in the end of season awards, announced by the conference office on Friday afternoon. 

Montgomery continues to etch his name into the record book on the Hilltop as he becomes the first Hawk in program history to be named Track Athlete of the Year by the Northeast 10. 

This marks Montgomery's third major award in his career, after last year being named the program's first Rookie of the Year in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Throughout the 2025-26 indoor season, he earned Track Athlete of the Week honors twice over two consecutive weeks before dominating at the conference championship. 

At last month's NE10 Championship, Montgomery turned in a standout performance, breaking the championship record in the 400-meter dash, which had stood since 2011. The sophomore posted a 47.29 time, claiming the conference title and making NE10 history.  

He went on to compete in the 200-meter dash in the championship, earning his second NE10 title of the meet. Clocking a time of 21.24 in the event, Montgomery finished just 0.24 seconds away from claiming a second NE10 record. 

The accolades did not stop there as Montgomery was awarded both the Men's Most Outstanding Track Performer and the Men's Most Valuable Athlete awards by the conference.  

Montgomery continues to make a name for himself in not just the NE10, but also in the East region. As USTFCCCA All-Region honorees were released last week, Montgomery received recognition in the 60-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter races.  

Montgomery and the track & field team now shift their attention to their outdoor season, set to begin on Saturday, March 28 at the SNHU Spring Open.
