NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Northeast 10 Conference released its sixth edition of the indoor track & field weekly awards, headlined by sophomore Logan Montgomery of the Saint Anselm College men's track & field team as the Track Athlete of the Week.
This past weekend, Montgomery competed in the Riverhawk Invitational, hosted by UMass Lowell at the TRACK at New Balance. Montgomery had an outstanding showing, competing in the 200-meter dash, posting a time of 21.48, an NCAA provisional mark, to place fourth out of 31 athletes. In addition to meeting the national qualifying standard, the sophomore broke the program record, which he originally set in his rookie campaign last year. His performance earned him the top spot in the conference and currently has him ranked 25th in Division II.
In addition to dominating the 200m, Montgomery is also currently ranked second in the conference in the 400m, and fourth in the conference in the 60m.
Montgomery and the Hawks will be back in Boston this Friday, Feb. 13 where they will compete in the Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University.
