Burns, Nicolosi Set Program Records at Gordon Kelley Invitational Hosted by MIT

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore Colin Burns broke the men's indoor weight throw record, and classmate Reese Nicolosi set a new program record in the women's indoor 60-meter hurdles as the Saint Anselm College track and field teams competed in the Gordon Kelley Invitational, hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Saturday.

Men's Track Events
  • Sophomore Luke Manzi set a new personal best in the mile, clocking a time of 4:46.85.
  • Senior Adam Holodowski and freshman Billy Oldham finished 21st and 22nd, respectively, in the 3000-meter race, recording times of 9:35.27 and 9:42.90.
  • Sophomore Daniel Leet earned a seventh-place finish, first among DII runners, in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:24.49.
  • Sophomore Logan Montgomery recorded a time of 6.93 in the 60-meter dash, earning a second-place finish.
  • Junior Christian Wetzel placed seventh out of 48 competitors, fourth among division II athletes, in the 800-meter run, finishing in 2:01.76.
Men's Field Events
  • Sophomore Colin Burns took third place in the weight throw with a program record-breaking toss of 15.55 meters. Burns broke his own school record of 15.14m, a mark he set last week at Plymouth State.
  • Freshman Aidan Ryan took sixth place in the shot put with a throw of 13.74 meters, the second-best throw of his career, followed by sophomore Peter Hogan, who finished 14th with a mark of 12.53 meters.
  • Hogan also earned a ninth-place finish in the long jump, recording a mark of 6.44 meters.
Women's Track Events
  • Freshman Sayde White placed 22nd in the 3000-meter race with a new personal best time of 11:46.71.
  • Freshman Ava Martin ran the first indoor mile of her collegiate career, finishing at 5:44.20 for a 34th-place finish.
  • Freshman Elle Ash competed in her first collegiate track event, placing 17th in the 800-meter run, crossing the finish line at 2:37.88.
  • Sophomore Sam Ducharme earned a ninth-place finish in the 600-meter run, clocking a time of 1:42.67, followed by freshman Brenna Woodbury in 11th place at 1:46.34.
  • Sophomores Reese Nicolosi and Petrina Ofori recorded third and fourth-place finishes in the 60-meter hurdles, with times of 9.15 and 9.26, respectively. Nicolosi set a new school record in the 60H, surpassing her own mark of 9.24 that she recorded last week at Plymouth State.
  • Junior Rebecca Cady finished fourth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.90.
Women's Field Events
  • Junior Ava Houle earned a ninth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 4.84 meters, immediately followed by junior Sara Harris in 10th place at 4.78 meters.
  • Senior Brianne Rett finished sixth in the shot put with a throw of 11.36 meters, followed by junior Sophia Morin, who placed 10th with a mark of 11.14 meters.
  • Freshman Makayla Kokonezis placed 13th in the high jump, clearing 1.48 meters.
