Brian Stankiewicz '17, earned the prestigious All-Academic Team distinction from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, the organization announced this week.
To qualify, teams must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and produce a team score at their
respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
Additionally, five members of the Hawks' women's team, including junior
Abby Bemis, senior Cara Morris, freshman
Jillian Olson, freshman
Gretchen Uthoff, and freshman
Brenna Woodbury, secured All-Academic distinction alongside senior
Christian Wetzel of the Hawks men's cross country program. Their dedication to excellence in the classroom exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete, representing Saint Anselm both academically and athletically.
To qualify for All-Academic honors, one must log at least a 3.25 cumulative grade-point average and finish in the top-30 percent of the regional championship race.
