KEENE, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College cross country team competed at the Keene State Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The men's team finished 18th out of 26 teams in the 8K. On the women's side, the team finished 19th out of 26 teams in the 6K.
Men's Results
In a field of 277 runners, Saint Anselm saw improvements from several runners. Junior Clifford Teixeira led the way for the Hawks, finishing 125th in 27:53.00, improving from his time from last year's invitational time of 28:20.4. Finishing just behind Teixeira was sophomore
Luke Manzi with a place of 128th in 27:59.20, improving from 29:03.2 in the previous season.
Rounding out the top five finishers for the Hawks were freshman Ned Dion, finishing 149th in 28:24.40; senior Brandon LeBlanc finishing 177th in 28:53.70, improving from a 29:04.7 finish last season; and junior
Diego Infante finishing 187th in 29:04.90, improving from a 29:36.6 finish last season.
Women's Results
In a field of 277 runners, junior
Abigail Bernabei led the way for the Hawks, finishing 128th in 25:25.00, an improvement from her time at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational the week prior, where she ran 25:48.84.
Other runners who saw improvements from the week prior were freshman Ava Martin, who finished 140th in 25:33.40, improving her time from 25:51.21, and sophomore Erin Flaherty, who came in just behind Martin, finishing 146th, shaving almost a minute off her time, from 26:20.62 to 25:33.40.
Rounding out the top five finishers for the Hawks were junior Abby Bemis, finishing 150th in 25:46.90, and just behind was freshman Evangeline Tynan, finishing 155th in 25:50.20.
