AT SAINT ANSELM

2024-25: Competed in all six meets for the Hawks in his junior campaign...opened the season with a 15th place finish at the Shacklette Invitational, navigating the course in 29:49.1... broke the sub-27 minute barrier in the 8k on October 11th at the NEICAAA Cross Country Championships, crossing the finish line in 26:59.4... recorded his collegiate 8k PR of 26:52.5 at the NE10 Cross Country Championship on October 27th, finishing 33rd overall...was the second Hawks finisher at the NCAA Division II East Region Cross Country Championship with a time of 33:35.7 in the 10k.

2023-24: Raced in five events for the Hawks during his sophomore campaign…Finished 21^st overall at the Shacklette Invitational logging an 8k time of 31:04…Registered a season low 8k time of 28:21 at the UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational on Sept. 17…Finished 30^th at the James Earley Invite on Oct. 7, navigating the 8k course in 29:04

2022-23: Wetzel competed in five of the six meets in his first year as a Hawk...At the 40th Annual Schacklette Cross Country Invitational, he finished 22nd with a time of 32:10.1...He recorded his best 8k time of the season on September 30th at the Lehigh Paul Short Invitational clocking in at 28:42.7...On October 8th at the NEICAAA Cross Country Championship, Wetzel secured 68th place after finishing in 29:28.1...Wetzel cracked the top-100 to help the men's team place eighth out of 13 teams in the competition crossing the finish line in 30:09.4...He also participated in two unofficial spring track and field meets for the Hawks running in the mile and 5,000-meter events.    

BEFORE SAINT ANSELM: Graduate of Cardinal Spellman HS…Played football, soccer, and winter and spring track for the Cardinals…Member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Majoring in Business…Aspires to be a marketing executive…Enjoying painting, drawing, and exercising.
