NE10 Outdoor Championship Day Two Recap: Men Finish Fifth with Golds for Montgomery and Haynes

MANCHESTER, NH –Saint Anselm men's track & field finished fifth at the NE10 Outdoor Championship, earning five medals—including two golds—on the final day of competition. The Hawks totaled 75.5 points, while Southern Connecticut State claimed the title with 268.5 points, finishing 116 ahead of the next closest team.

  • Saint Anselm heads to Amherst, Massachusetts for the NEICAAA Outdoor Championships, with day one of competition set to begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 9th.


HIGHLIGHTS (DAY TWO):

  • Junior Jaidin Haynes (Sayreville, N.J.) earned his first career gold medal in the final heat of a 100m dash, finishing in 10.82 seconds.

  • Freshman Logan Montgomery (Weare, N.H.) brought home gold in the 400m with a career-best time of 47.39, finishing a full second ahead of the silver medalist. He also claimed silver in the 200m, clocking in at 21.51—just one hundredth of a second behind the winner.

  • The 4x400m relay team of sophomore Samuel Jones (Salem, N.H.), sophomore Andres Infante (Marlborough, Mass.), freshman Hunter Beaudoin (Sandown, N.H.), and Montgomery secured silver with a time of 8:16.89.

  • Freshman Peter Hogan (Newport, N.H.) earned two bronze medals, one in the high jump (1.95m) and another in the decathlon with a total of 5,763 points. In the decathlon, he finished first in the long jump (6.44m), shot put (11.37m), and high jump (1.93m). 

  • The 4x100m relay team—freshman Joseph D'Angelo (Pembroke, Mass.), senior Kaleb Lewis (Austin, Texas), senior Bowen Lewis (Austin, Texas), and Haynes—finished fourth with a time of 41.51.

  • Kaleb Lewis also placed seventh in the 200m, running a time of 22.53.

  • Sophomore Brady Ash (Kingston, N.H.) secured a sixth-place finish in the 400m hurdles with a career-best 57.50.

  • Sophomore Adam Holodowski (Milford, N.H.) placed seventh in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing in 10:15.52.

  • Freshman Leo Sheriff (Beverly, Mass.) finished seventh in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.05.

  • Freshman Parker Gleckman (Atkinson, N.H.) rounded out the scoring with an eighth-place finish in the triple jump, leaping 13.12m.
