EASTON, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College men's and women's track and field team competed on the first day of NEICAAA (New England) outdoor championships at W.B. Mason Stadium on the campus of Stonehill College on Friday.
MEN'S TRACK
- Senior Christian Wetzel competed in the 5,000-meter run, placing 15th with a time of 15:58.19.
MEN'S FIELD
- Freshman Andrew Henaghen placed sixth in the javelin throw with a toss of 53.86m (176' 8").
- Junior Logan Guttadauro set a new personal record in the hammer throw as he placed 15th with a mark of 47.32m (155' 3").
MEN'S MULTI
- Sophomore Peter Hogan competed in the first five events of the decathlon on Friday, finishing day one in second place with 3,445 points, 303 points off of first place.
- His day was highlighted with a new PR in the shot put, winning that round of the decathlon with a toss of 13.60m (44' 7.5").
- Hogan placed second in the 100-meter dash, crossing the finish line at 11.34s, second in the high jump with a leap of 1.91m (6' 3.25"), third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.82, and fourth in the long jump at 6.36m (20' 10.5"),
- Hogan will open tomorrow's final five events of the decathlon with the 110-meter hurdles at 10 a.m.
WOMEN'S FIELD
- Junior Sophia Morin was crowned the New England champion in the javelin throw with a mark of 44.04m (144' 6"), her second-best throw of the spring, contributing 10 points to the Hawks' team score.
- Morin also came in 13th in the hammer throw, recording a toss of 38.66m (126' 10").
- Senior Harmony Marquez placed fifth in the javelin, reaching 37.02m (121' 5"), tallying four points for the Hawks.

The Hawks will compete on the second and final day of competition at the NEICAAA (New England) Outdoor Championships tomorrow at 10 a.m. at W.B. Mason Stadium.
