NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Senior Elizabeth Driscoll's (Marblehead, Mass.) decorated career has officially made Saint Anselm history—twice in one week.

Just days after becoming the first Hawk named a First-Team All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), the senior has now been named the 2025 IWLCA Division II Goalkeeper of the Year. It marks the first time a Saint Anselm women's lacrosse student-athlete has earned one of the IWLCA's major national awards. "There is so much great competition in our division, it is such an honor to receive this award!" said Driscoll.

Driscoll didn't just stand out—she stood alone. A consistent force in net, she anchored the Hawks from the crease with a .521 save percentage that led the Northeast 10 (NE10) and ranked third nationally in Division II (among goalies with at least 10 games played). She also finished second in the NE10 in saves per game (10.26) and was one of just 22 goalies nationwide to average at least 10 saves per contest. That mark also ranks as the third-highest single-season total in program history.

When asked about the accomplishment, Driscoll gave credit to her teammates "I had the best defense in the NE10, who have done such an amazing job all season making sure that no one got any easy shots off, making my job easy!!"

Over the course of her career, Driscoll compiled one of the most decorated résumés in program history. She set a new program record with 36 career victories and surpassed the 500-save mark, becoming just the second Hawk to do so. Across her career, Driscoll earned three NE10 All-Conference selections, three IWLCA All-Region nods, six NE10 Player of the Week honors, two NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year awards, an IWLCA All-American honorable mention, a USA Lacrosse Second-Team All-American selection, and the program's first-ever IWLCA First-Team All-American and Goalkeeper of the Year honors.

Reflecting on her time at Saint Anselm, Driscoll said "Saint Anselm College has done more for me than I could ever explain; I have learned so many lessons, gained so many memories, and am leaving with an uncountable number of best friends. Go hawks!!"
