Men's Golf Concludes NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional in 20th Place

ERIE, Pa. – The Saint Anselm College men's golf team wrapped up play at the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks finished the tournament in 20th place after posting a team score of +116 across three rounds, including +36 in round three.
 



HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Sophomore Brady Warren (Lynn, Mass.) posted the best individual score for Saint Anselm across three rounds. He finished the 54-hole event with 241 strokes (+25), good for a tie in 69th place in a field of over 100 golfers. Warren totaled 80 strokes (+8) in Saturday's final round, which included a couple of birdies.
  • Freshman Nicholas Emery (Pawtucket, R.I.) concluded his tournament with 247 strokes (+31), the second-best score on the team. He finished in a tie for 78th and improved by eight strokes from round two to round three, turning in a score of 81 (+9) on Saturday that saw him birdie a team-best four holes.
  • One stroke back of Emery was freshman Brandon Vitarisi (Reading, Mass.), who carded an 84 (+12) in round three. That brought his tournament total to 248 (+32) and helped him secure a tie for 80th place. Vitarisi birdied two holes on the front nine in the final round of play.
  • Senior Michael Papamechail (Danvers, Mass.) also shot an 84 (+12) in Saturday's round, which put him at 253 (+37) for the tournament.
  • Freshman Nick Nowak (Amherst, N.H.) had his best day of the competition in round three with a score of 79 (+7). He had three birdies on the day and wrapped up the event with 256 strokes (+4). Nowak improved by 13 strokes from the first round to the third round.
  • Davis & Elkins and Gannon tied for the best team score for the tournament at +24. Charleston (W. Va.) came in third place with a total score of +39. Those three programs have qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship Finals, which will be held later in May in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
