MANSFIELD, Mass. - On Tuesday, the Northeast-10 Conference released its annual Preseason Coaches' Poll for the upcoming 2024 football season slated to begin at the end of the month.
Saint Anselm is predicted to finish in fourth place in the poll, voted on by head coaches from each of the NE10 institutions. The Hawks received 43 points from the panel of coaches. The University of New Haven claimed first place after racking up 64 points and garnering eight out of nine of possible first-place votes.
The Hawks finished the 2023 season with a 6-4 overall record and a 5-2 conference record, good for second in the NE10 and the program's best finish in modern-era history. Saint Anselm won three of its five games at Grappone Stadium last year and had ten student-athletes earn NE10 All-Conference recognition following the season, along with head coach
Joe Adam being tabbed the NE10 Coach of the Year.
Saint Anselm kicks off the 2024 season on Saturday, September 7th at NCAA Division I Sacred Heart University with a 1:00 p.m. start time. In week two, the Hawks return to Grappone Stadium to host Bentley University on Saturday, September 14th for their home opener with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
