NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Junior quarterback Drew Forkner and freshman wide receiver Domingo Meade of the Saint Anselm College football team earned Northeast 10 (NE10) Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week nods, respectively, following top performances in the squad's 30-23 conference victory at Post University. With the victory, the Hawks moved to 3-2 overall and 2-1 against league opponents.
Forkner threw for 252 yards and four touchdowns as he completed 57.9% (22 of 38) of his passes to lead the Hawks to a thrilling 30-23 victory at Post. Meade scored the eventual game-winning touchdown, hauling in Forkner's pass from 25 yards out with just 27 seconds to play to seal the victory. He finished with three receptions for 46 yards.
For both Forkner and Meade, this marks their second NE10 weekly award from the conference office.
The Hawks will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 11 for an NE10 battle against Franklin Pierce University (3-2, 2-1 NE10). Kickoff from Grappone Stadium is set for 6:00 p.m.
