CONCORD, N.H. — The Saint Anselm College men's golf team finished in fourth place at the 2024 Northeast-10 Championship that concluded on Tuesday. Senior
Michael Papamechail (Danvers, Mass.) led all Hawks with a +6 score through three rounds, good for a tie in fifth place on the individual leaderboard and just two strokes back of the winner.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After finishing the first two rounds even par on Monday, Papamechail finished the tournament with a +6 third round to earn a tie in fifth place out of 40 golfers. The senior also earned a spot on the All-Championship Team for his performance.
- Also cracking the top 10 was freshman Brandon Vitarisi (Reading, Mass.), who tied for 10th place with a +11 score through 54 holes.
- Freshman Riley Reardon (Woburn, Mass.) carded a +7 in the third round and finished the event in a three-way tie for 25th place with a +23 score.
- Sophomore Brady Warren (Lynn, Mass.) shot a +12 on Tuesday to finish the tournament at +27, good for a tie in 31st place.
- Senior Anthony Picano (Reading, Mass.) also competed in the event for the Hawks and posted a +36 score through three rounds.
- As a team, Saint Anselm finished in fourth place with a team score of +67 and 907 strokes. The Hawks were 15 strokes back of Assumption for third place.
- Southern New Hampshire won their first Championship in six years with a +25 score and 865 strokes. Adelphi came in second place with a +40 score and 880 strokes.

- Saint Anselm concludes their fall season next week with the Post Eagles Invitational starting on Monday, October 14th at the Watertown Golf Club in Watertown, Conn.
