Men's Golf Finish 8th at Granite State Opener

CONCORD, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College men's golf team finished in 8th place at the Granite State Opener after wrapping up the second round of the competition on Tuesday.

UP NEXT:
  • The Hawks return to the course on Monday, Sept. 25th for the Penmen Invitational hosted by Southern New Hampshire University. The two-day competition will be held at the Concord County Club.  
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Fifth-year Drew Semons (Danvers, Mass.) tied for 13th place in the open after carding a three-over 75 in the second round of 18 holes. He would end the competition by carding a three-over 147.
  • Tied for 28th place was fifth-year Lucas Dascoli (Everett, Mass.) carding a six-over 78 on the day and a seven-over 151 in the open.
  • Not far behind was junior Michael Papamechail (Danvers, Mass.), sophomore Anthony Picano (Reading, Mass.), and senior Trevor Janis (Burlington, Mass.) who each finished in 32nd place for Saint Anselm. Papamechail carded a one-over 73 in the second round while Picano wrapped up day two with a seven-over 79. Janis would pick up an eight-over 80 for the Hawks.
  • Senior Robbi Forti (Danvers, Mass.) rounded out for the Hawks tied for 59th place in the open. He ended the second round of 18 holes carding seven-over 79.
