Sullivan collects NE10 Player of the Week honors

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Junior Jess Sullivan (Wrentham, Mass.) of the nationally-ranked Saint Anselm College women's lacrosse team collected her first career Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week honor on Monday.

The Hawks improved to 11-3 on the season with a 7-3 record in NE10 contests after downing in-state foe Franklin Pierce University by a 22-14 score on Apr. 18 before claiming a 15-13 win over the University of New Haven on Apr. 22. Saint Anselm's 11 wins this season are second most in a single season in program history.

Sullivan totaled 14 points on eight goals and six assists in the pair of wins for the Hawks. The junior opened the week with five goals and five assists to total a career-best 10 points of offense in the win over Franklin Pierce before adding three goals and an assist in the win over New Haven. Sullivan added one ground ball and one caused turnover for the Hawks between the two conference contests.

On the season, Sullivan leads the Hawks with 42 goals scored and is second on the roster with 25 helpers, totaling a team-high 67 points. Compared to the NE10, Sullivan is 10th in goals scored, tied for fifth in assists, and sixth in points.

Sullivan and the Hawks are back in action on Wednesday, Apr. 26 when the team heads to No. 15 nationally Bentley University for a 7 p.m. start from Waltham, Mass.
