MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College baseball team was selected fourth in the Northeast Division of the Northeast-10 Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced by the league on Monday.
The Hawks garnered 50 points in the poll which was good for seventh of 13 teams across the entire NE10. Southern New Hampshire topped the conference and the Northeast Division with 12 first-place votes and 84 points. Franklin Pierce collected one first-place vote and 72 points while Assumption rounded out the top-three in the division with 57 points. Bentley (47), American International (29), and Saint Michael's (18) rounded out the Northeast side of the conference.
The Hawks posted a 22-23 overall record last spring with a 13-11 mark in NE10 Northeast Division play. The team's 22 wins were the most since 2012 and are sixth most in a single season. Saint Anselm set a new program record for home runs with 57, breaking a record that stood since 2001. The Hawks ranked inside the top-five in team annals in slugging percentage (.456), runs scored (306), doubles (86), runs batted in (274), and strikeouts (303).

Jerod Edmondson '06 enters his fourth season at the helm of the baseball program in 2023. Edmondson's squad will open the 2023 season on the road at the University of North Carolina Pembroke in a three game series, starting on Friday, Feb. 3.
