Men's cross country races at New England Championship

BOSTON – The regionally-ranked Saint Anselm College men's cross country team posted a 20th place finish at the 2022 New England Cross Country Championship on Saturday at Franklin Park.

Freshman Neil Harrington (Malden, Mass.) led Saint Anselm with an 8K time of 27:34, placing 92nd out of 130 runners. He was trailed by senior Alex Horan (Clifton, Va.) and his time of 27:56, crossing the line in 103rd place.

Junior Tyler Scopelites (Litchfield, N.H.) navigated the course in 28:01 with freshman Andrew Keene (Kennebunk, Maine) not far behind, posting a time of 28:10. Junior Trevor Scopelites (Litchfield, N.H.) rounded out the scorers for Saint Anselm, placing 115th.

Juniors Chris Hogan (Plymouth, Mass.) and Patrick Kennedy (Milton, Mass.) placed 117th and 118th, respectively.

In the sub-varsity race, junior Josh Nottebart (Pelham, N.H.) was 44th with a time of 28:29. Junior Adam Wong (Westminster, Mass.) and sophomore Steven Cormier (Reading, Mass.) rounded out the top-three for the Hawks in that event.

The Hawks, ranked ninth in the East Region by the USTFCCCA entering this week, return to action on Sunday, Nov. 6 at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship.
