NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College golf team teed off its 2015-16 season against crosstown rival Southern New Hampshire University Friday afternoon at Lake Sunapee Country Club taking second place in the Queen City Challenge dual event with a team score of 304.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Freshman Billy Argus (Canton, Mass.) led the Hawks with the low card of a four-over-par 74, tying for fourth among the individuals on both squads.
• Junior Jack Ball (Duxbury, Mass.) added a 76 for Saint Anselm.
• Sophomore Joe Brunelle (Billerica, Mass.) and freshman Stephen Hunt (Wilbraham, Mass.) each posted a round of 77 to claim a spot in the top 10.
• Sophomore Nick Carter (South Easton, Mass.) rounded out the scoring for the Hawks with a 10-over-par 80.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Saint Anselm finished 24-over-par in its season debut.
• Southern New Hampshire won the event with a team score of 291. Two Penmen posted identical low scores of 72 to take home medalist honors.
NOTES
• Saint Anselm's youth was on full display as three freshmen, three sophomores and a junior represented the Hawks in the season opener.

• Saint Anselm will head to Brunswick Golf Club in Brunswick, Maine, for the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13. Tee times are slated for 10 a.m. for both days.
