MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's soccer team scored twice in the opening 6:24 of the second half to blank Daemen University, 2-0, on Friday afternoon at Melucci Field.

- Sophomore Connie Patturelli scored her third goal of the season and finished with a team-high four shots, all of which were on target.
- Sophomore Madison Botta scored her first goal of the season and added one shot on goal.
- Sophomore Addison Jerome, junior Meghan Deneen, and freshman Samantha Roux each recorded an assist.
- Patturelli, Deneen, and senior Daniella Atherton each finished with four shots.
- Saint Anselm outshot Daemen, 25-2, and held a 14-0 advantage in shots on goal.
- Junior goalkeeper Samantha Swidorski earned the shutout.
- The Hawks held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
- With the victory, the Hawks improved to 3-0-1 on the season.
- The Hawks are now 5-0 in the all-time series with Daemen, dating back to the 2021 season. Three of the victories occurred at the friendly confines of Melucci Field.
How It Happened
Saint Anselm controlled the opening half, generating 13 shots, including seven shots on target, while holding Daemen without a shot.
The Hawks broke through 4:50 into the second half when Botta scored her first goal of the season, with Jerome and Deneen providing the assists. Just 1:34 later, Patturelli doubled the Saint Anselm advantage with her third goal of the season, assisted on a give-and-go through ball by Roux.
Saint Anselm continued to control possession and generate chances throughout the remainder of the match, finishing with 12 second-half shots.
