How it Happened

The Hawks doubled their advantage in the 27th minute. Roux and junior Schneider combined near the corner before Schneider sent a ball into the box. Patturelli and Atherton were both involved in the ensuing chance, which found the back of the net to give Saint Anselm a 2-0 lead.
Deneen struck again in the 34th minute, beating the Post goalkeeper from distance for her second goal of the contest and a 3-0 Saint Anselm lead.
Post generated a late opportunity off a corner kick in the final minutes of the opening half, but the Saint Anselm defense kept the Eagles off the scoreboard as the Hawks carried a 3-0 advantage into halftime. Saint Anselm outshot Post 13-3 and put seven attempts on target during the opening 45 minutes.
The Hawks extended their lead in the 54th minute when Jerome capitalized on a miscue along the Post back line. Atherton picked up the assist as Jerome found the back of the net to make it 4-0.
