LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Senior
Rose Reitmeyer of the Saint Anselm College softball team earned First Team All-East Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Friday.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's eight regions with first and second-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated their student-athletes and voted for the teams. All the honorees are now eligible for selection to the 2026 NFCA Division II All-America squads.
Reitmeyer is one of 12 Northeast 10 Conference student-athletes to earn NFCA All-East Region honors, with the NE10, the East Coast Conference (ECC), and the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) making up the region. Reitmeyer is the lone Hawk to earn the recognition from the region's head coaches.
In Saint Anselm's program history, Reitmeyer is now the 12th Hawk to earn NFCA All-Region First Team honors and the first since 2021, after being named NE10 Player of the Year and an All-Conference First Team honoree.
The outfielder from Oxford, Conn. was a force in the Hawks' lineup this season, batting .365 with 62 hits, 48 runs scored, and a program-record 16 home runs. Her 16 home runs ranked first in the NE10, while she also finished second in runs batted in (54), first in slugging percentage (.782), and first in OPS (on-base plus slugging) (1.221).
Reitmeyer also surpassed the Hawks' all-time home run record of 24 set by
Nicole Boucher from 2011-14, and her six RBI performance against American Int'l on Sunday, May 2, is tied for the third-most in a single game in program history. Reitmeyer finished out her career on the Hilltop with 27 career home runs, while her 16 home runs are also tied for the fifth-most home runs in a single season in NE10 history.
She became the first in Saint Anselm program history to record a three-home run game on March 17 against Wayne State (Mich.) and is the Hawks' all-time RBI leader with 115, while also ranking top-10 all-time in career slugging percentage (.624), walks (58), and on-base percentage (.403).
