SPARKS, Md. – Five Saint Anselm College men's lacrosse student-athletes were honored as USA Lacrosse Magazine announced its All-America selections on Tuesday, highlighted by senior Quinn Gannon earning a First Team All-America nod.
Gannon earned First Team status following one of the most dominant campaigns at the X in program history. Starting all 14 games, Gannon helped Saint Anselm control possession consistently while contributing to a team that reached the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship. The senior also cemented his place in the Saint Anselm record book during the season, finishing his career as the program's all-time leader in ground balls with 358 to his credit. Gannon was also selected to the All-Northeast 10 Conference (NE10) First Team and was named the NE10 Faceoff Specialist of the Year.
Gannon finished the season ranked second nationally in faceoff winning percentage (.702) and third in the nation in ground balls per game (9.86), cementing himself as one of the top specialists in Division II lacrosse. He collected 138 ground balls across the season, including double-digit totals in 10 contests and a season-high 18 ground balls in a victory at Assumption University on Mar. 28. Gannon also added three points on two goals and one assist while winning 207 faceoffs during the year.
Sophomore attackman Matt Lemay was named to the All-America Second Team following a standout offensive campaign for the Hawks in 2026. Lemay, who was also selected to the All-NE10 First Team, started all 14 games and finished the season with 54 points on 33 goals and 21 assists while recording multiple points in every contest. Lemay posted six games with at least five points, highlighted by a six-point performance on three goals and three assists at Bentley University on Mar. 4 and a five-goal outing against Pace University on Apr. 18. He also netted two game-winning goals during the season.
Senior short-stick defensive midfielder Brendan Crowley garnered Third Team All-America honors following a strong two-way season for the Hawks in 2026. Crowley, who also earned All-Northeast 10 Conference Second Team recognition, started all 14 contests and played a key role in the team's defensive success throughout the season. He finished the year with 31 ground balls and five caused turnovers. Crowley also recorded multiple ground balls in 10 games, including a season-high five against Saint Michael's College on Apr. 1, and added a goal in a victory over Pace on Apr. 18.
Sophomore classmates Ben Turpin and Eddie O'Brien each earned All-America Honorable Mention recognition following breakout 2026 campaigns. Both players were also selected to the All-NE10 Second Team. Turpin emerged as one of the team's top offensive weapons, finishing the season with 63 points on 47 goals and 16 assists while posting eight or more points in three contests, including a pair of nine-point performances against Franklin Pierce University on Mar. 21 and Assumption University on Mar. 28. O'Brien totaled 26 points on 21 goals and five assists while recording points in 13 of 14 games played, with hat trick performances against Bentley on Mar. 4 and Franklin Pierce on Mar. 21.
