WALTHAM, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College women's lacrosse team was narrowly defeated, 4-3, in a Northeast 10 Conference match against Bentley University on Thursday afternoon.
Doubles (3, 1, 2)
- Despite dropping the doubles point, the Hawks secured lone win in doubles, coming at the No. 1 spot. Seniors Irene Garbo and Natalia Gonzalez Ramos came up with a 6-1 victory over Sonali Parasu and Isabella Kaldy.
Singles (6, 5, 1, 4, 3, 2)
- After back-to-back losses at No. 6 and No. 5, Garbo earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 1 over Parasu to make it 3-1.
- The Falcons secured the match with a win at No. 4.
- Sophomore Polina Makarenko put together a strong performance at No. 3, earning a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Natalia Ponsa.
- Gonzalez Ramos rounded out the match with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Kaldy.
