MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey team, backstopped by a 25-save shutout by junior goaltender Cam Carroll, blanked Northeast 10 Conference foe Franklin Pierce University 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at Sullivan Arena.

- Junior Chris Cordeiro led the offense with two goals, followed by senior Cam Collins and sophomore Justin Tremblay with one each.
- Freshmen Sebastian Rogles and Isac Martins each posted two assists in the victory.
- Rogles and classmate Sean Connolly each recorded a team-high +3 on-ice rating.
- Freshman Nolan King recorded a team-high three blocks.
- The Hawks dominated the faceoff dot, winning 39 of 63 draws taken (61.9%). Leading the charge was Collins, going 12-for-17 (70.6%).
- Carroll's 25-save shutout marked the first of his collegiate career. He now sits third in program history with 2,056 career saves.
- Saint Anselm is now 38-7-1 in the all-time series against Franklin Pierce.
How it Happened
Saint Anselm got on the board just 2:47 into the first period as Cordeiro recorded his first goal of the contest, knocking in a loose puck off a rebound to make it 1-0 early. Collins made it 2-0 just 3:21 later as he finished off a coast-to-coast breakaway goal, doubling the Hawks' advantage.
Cordeiro struck for the second time 8:54 into the second period, firing in a shot from the slot to make it a three-goal Hawks lead. Tremblay rounded out the Saint Anselm scoring midway through the third, scoring a short-handed goal to ice the victory, 4-0.

The Hawks (10-11-4, 9-5-2 NE10) will head to Worcester, Mass. for a weekend series against Assumption University (18-7-2, 12-2-2 NE10) on Friday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Worcester Ice Center.
