BOSTON – Members of the Saint Anselm College women's track & field team gave a strong showing at the Riverhawk Invitational on Friday at the TRACK at New Balance, posting a handful of PRs and impressive finishes led by senior
Brianne Rett and freshman
Makayla Kokonezis.
Women's Field
- Rett had an impressive second place finish in the weight throw, tossing 13.39m. She was followed by junior Sophia Morin, finishing in fourth place, throwing 12.96.
- Kokonezis recorded a first place finish and personal best in the triple jump, reaching 10.41m. In addition, she posted a PR in the 60m hurdles, timing in at 10.46.
Women's Track
- Freshman Julia Parsons had a strong showing in the mile run, crossing the finish line at 5:54.73, setting a new PR.
- Sophomore Izabel Korbet posted a PR in the 500m, timing in at 1:36.50.
Up Next
The Hawks will be back next weekend at the Crimson Open, hosted by Harvard University, and the Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University.
