SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College women's basketball team dropped its road finale at American International College on Saturday, 72-59, at Henry A. Butova Gymnasium in a Northeast 10 Conference contest.

How it Happened
AIC built a seven-point edge early in the first, 13-6, but the Hawks responded quickly with a 6-0 run to make it a one-point game, 13-12. The Yellow Jackets knocked down a three-pointer at the buzzer, taking a 16-12 lead at the end of the first.
Forbes scored 12 points in the second to keep things close, but AIC ended the half on an 11-2 run as they led by 12, 38-26, at the break. Saint Anselm's defense started strong in the third quarter, holding the Yellow Jackets to a 2-13 shooting clip from the field as the Hawks pulled within five, 45-40, but the Yellow Jackets ended the frame on an 8-4 run, leading 53-44 going into the fourth.
AIC led by double-digits for most of the fourth, closing out the win, 72-59.
