SHELTON, Conn. – The Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey team dropped a 5-2 decision to Post University in Northeast 10 Conference action on Friday evening at the Sports Center of Connecticut.
Highlights
- Sophomore Keaton Richards and freshman Isac Martins scored the lone Hawk goals, while junior Patrick DeMarinis and senior captain Luke Linart added assists.
- Linart posted a team-high four shots on target in the setback.
- Senior Cam Collins went 12-for-15 (80.0%) while Martins went 10-for-12 (83.3%) from the dot as the Hawks went 41-for-67 (61.2%) on the outing.
- Junior Chris Cordeiro posted a pair of blocked shots while classmate PJ Benites made 31 stops in goal.
How it Happened
Saint Anselm struck first as Richards scored with 3:42 to play in the first period, sending the Hawks to the dressing room with a 1-0 edge.
Post responded 11:06 into the second period to tie the score at one. In the final minute of the frame, Martins scored a power play goal with 43 seconds to play, giving Saint Anselm its one-goal lead back, 2-1.
The host Eagles produced four third-period goals, including one power play tally, to rally for a 5-2 victory.

Saint Anselm (11-13-4, 10-7-2 NE10) will play host to Post (8-17-1, 7-11-1 NE10) in the final game of the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 21 at Sullivan Arena, with puck drop set for 4:00 p.m. Prior to puck drop, the Hawks will honor its players from the class of 2026 in a Senior Day ceremony.
