MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's basketball team fell in a Northeast 10 Conference contest against No. 24 Bentley University, 76-67, at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium on Wednesday.

- This marked the 102nd all-time meeting between these two programs as Saint Anselm falls to 16-86 overall against Bentley in the series that began in 1978.
- Junior Elise MacNair led the Hawks with 23 points, shooting 8-13 from the field, including a season-best four three-pointers of five attempts, with five rebounds, a steal, and a block.
- Junior Meghan Trapper knocked down five threes for the third time this season, scoring 15 points with three boards and a steal.
- Senior Tatum Forbes went 6-12 from the field with 13 points, nine assists, six rebounds, and a block.
- Junior Kaitlin McDonough was a force on defense, tallying two blocks and two steals with four rebounds and seven points in 23 minutes.
- Saint Anselm shot 50% (25-20) from the field and 50% (10-20) from three, while Bentley shot 50.9% (29-57) from the floor and 57.1% (8-14) from deep.
How it Happened
MacNair knocked down a pair of threes to open the scoring for the Hawks and give Saint Anselm an early lead, 6-3. Trapper followed up MacNair's three-point shooting with a trio of makes from long range, as the Hawks held onto their three-point edge, 16-13. The final five points of the quarter went to the Falcons as the score was tied, 18-18, going into the second quarter.
MacNair's third three-pointer of the game put Saint Anselm back in front, sparking a 12-4 run for the Hawks that put them up by eight, 34-26. Bentley ended the half with six points while shutting out Saint Anselm, as the Hawks led 34-32 at the break.
Trapper's fourth and fifth triples of the game kept the Hawks in front early in the third, but the Falcons continued to battle back, taking a 46-44 lead with three minutes to go in the quarter. Bentley led at the end of the frame, 52-47.
The Falcons held off multiple comeback efforts from the Hawks in the fourth, leading by at least four for the entire quarter, winning the game, 76-67.
