MANCHESTER, N.H. – Junior
Elise MacNair recorded her first career double-double to lead the Saint Anselm College women's basketball team to a 68-58 win over Pace University in a Northeast 10 Conference matchup at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium on Saturday.

- The Hawks improve to 7-2 on the year with a 2-2 mark in NE10 play, posting a 4-1 record at Stoutenburgh Gym.
- MacNair scored 22 points with a career-high 10 rebounds, shooting 8-15 from the field and 4-7 from three. MacNair also had two blocks, a steal, and an assist.
- Senior Tatum Forbes shot 11-12 from the free-throw line en route to 17 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
- Freshman Hannah Lynch scored a career-high eight points with a career-high four rebounds in 19 minutes of action. This was also Lynch's first career start.
- The Hawks outrebounded Pace 38-36 while recording a season-low seven turnovers.
How it Happened
Pace jumped out to a 5-0 lead, but Lynch netted a pair of layups, and MacNair sank two three-pointers to spark a 14-4 run as the Hawks led 14-9. Saint Anselm went up by as much as eight points, 19-11 and 21-13, but the Setters ended the quarter with a layup to trim their deficit to six, 21-15.
Pace started the second quarter on a 7-1 run to tie the game at 22-22, eventually reclaiming the lead, 26-24. MacNair knocked down another three to put the Hawks back in front, 27-26, but the Setters answered with a 10-1 run to end the half as Pace went into the break with an eight-point edge, 36-28.
The Hawks opened the second half with eight of the first 10 points, led by Lynch, who scored four as Saint Anselm trailed by just two, 38-36. With under two minutes to go in the frame, the Hawks took a two-point lead, 50-48, over the Setters thanks to MacNair's fourth three-pointer of the game. A layup from Pace tied the score at 50-50 heading into the fourth quarter.
Saint Anselm shored up its defense in the final 10 minutes of action, holding Pace to just a 15.4% (2-13) clip in the fourth while Forbes led the Hawks with 11 in the quarter to give the home team the win, 68-58.
