MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior John Myers and sophomore Justin Tremblay each tallied a pair of goals as the Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey team routed Northeast 10 Conference and cross-town rival Southern New Hampshire University, 6-1, on Saturday evening at Sullivan Arena.

  • Tremblay's goals came in a span of 2:19 in the second period.
  • Tremblay and freshman Sean Connolly each led the squad with four shots on target.
  • Freshman Sebastian Rogles notched a team-high two blocked shots in the victory.
  • Senior Cam Collins went 9-for-16 (56.3%) from the faceoff dot.
  • Cam Carroll made 25 saves in his eighth win of his junior campaign.
  • Saint Anselm is now 45-15-4 in the all-time series against the Penmen, dating back to the 1981-82 season, with a 2-1-1 record in 2025-26.

How it Happened

Myers got the Hawks on the board with 1:38 to play in the first when he registered the final deflection on a shot from the point off the stick of freshman Nolan King, giving Saint Anselm a 1-0 lead at the first intermission.

Tremblay scored his first of the game on a one-timer high in the slot off a feed from sophomore Conor Kelly which beat the goaltender to double the Hawks' lead 5:45 into the second. Tremblay struck again just 2:19 later, this time on the power play as he buried a rebound opportunity after Kelly rung the post, making it 3-0 in favor of the hosts.

Myers' second of the night came 4:36 into the third period as a loose puck on the edge of the crease was put away by the senior to increase Saint Anselm's lead to four. SNHU scored its lone goal of the game to snap the streaking Hawks five minutes later. Leading 4-1, Saint Anselm scored twice in the final five minutes of regulation, starting with sophomore Keaton Richards who scored with 4:24 remaining. Senior captain Luke Linart got a feed from Rogles on a 5-on-3 opportunity and one-timed a slapshot in for the game's final goal, securing the Hawk's 6-1 win.
