How it Happened
The first half learned in favor of the Greyhounds, who managed six shots to Saint Anselm's one. Saint Anselm had only one scoring attempt on a shot by sophomore Brian Jones that was saved. Both teams earned two corner kick opportunities in the opening half. Hood made two saves in the first half, keeping the Greyhounds off the board and the match 0-0 heading into the half.

Saint Anselm's offensive momentum soared in the second half, with the Hawks outshooting the Greyhounds, 21-9. Delia's goal, his second of the season, came in the 52nd minute as he slid a left-footed shot from five yards inside the box. The goal marked the first collegiate point for Bienvenue-Cernuda, who assisted on the strike.

The Hawks continued to put pressure on the Greyhounds throughout the remainder of the second half. Sophomore Chance Prouty nearly doubled the lead in the 81st minute with a shot towards the bottom left corner, which was ultimately saved. Prouty also had a shot ricochet off the crossbar on a rocket from inside the box in the 76th minute.

Assumption pushed for an equalizer with shots from Sekou Kouyate and Isac Williamson in the 87th and 89th minutes, respectively, but Hood held firm with key saves in the final minutes to seal the victory for the Hawks.
