MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's volleyball team swept Saint Michael's College, 3-0, at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium in a non-conference matchup to open Family Weekend on the Hilltop.

Highlights
- Freshman Peyton Elward led the Hawks in scoring, tallying 12 points on eight kills with a .462 hitting percentage. Elward also had three service aces, a solo block, and a dig.
- Junior Hollyn Frano matched Elward's eight kills on another impressive hitting percentage, .412, to go with 12 digs and two aces.
- Sophomore Taylor Lacerda also tallied eight kills while recording three digs.
- Freshman Mckenna O'Connell led all players with 31 sets while notching three kills, three aces, and nine digs.
- Saint Anselm improves to 28-16 all-time against Saint Michael's, with the Hawks having won the last three matchups.
SET 1 | Saint Anselm came out of the gate firing, putting together a 9-1 run to take an 11-4 lead with a pair of service aces from senior
Skylar Ryan and three kills from Lacerda. Another kill from Lacerda made it 19-11, but the Purple Knights began to rally, scoring six straight points. The Hawks responded with a 6-1 run to end the first set, winning 25-18 on a pair of aces from Ryan.
SET 2 | Saint Anselm jumped out to a 6-2 lead, but Saint Michael's responded, taking a 12-11 lead midway through the frame. The Hawks would go on to score eight of the next ten points, building a 19-14 advantage. The Purple Knights continued to claw their way back into the set, making it a one-point game, 23-22, but Saint Anselm used a kill from Elward and an ace from Frano to win the set, 25-22.
SET 3 | The Hawks took another early lead, 7-2, but once again, the Purple Knights answered to take a slight 10-9 edge. The set would continue to go back and forth for the remainder of the frame, with neither team leading by more than three. After Rory Tower notched a pair of kills for Saint Michael's to make the score 18-17 in favor of Saint Anselm, Frano began to dominate for the Hawks. The junior outside hitter had four kills down the stretch to put the match away, as the Hawks won the third frame, 25-19.
