NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Junior libero Madeline Burke of the Saint Anselm College women's volleyball team was named the Northeast 10 Conference (NE10) Defensive Player of the Week after a stellar weekend performance at the Redderson Invitational. This is Burkes' first NE10 weekly nod.
 

The Hawks went 2-2 at the tournament, hosted by Lander University, earning wins over Young Harris and Chowan, thanks in large part to Burke's defensive play.

The Lake George, N.Y. native posted 76 digs over the four matches to produce 4.47 digs per set. Additionally, Burke went 76 of 84 in serve reception for a percentage of .917 over the weekend of action. She tacked on eight assists and six service aces over that span.
 

Burke and the Hawks return to action on Wednesday, Sep. 17, when they play host to cross-town rival Southern New Hampshire at 6:00 p.m. at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium.
