Highlights
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Samantha Swidorski made a season-high six saves, allowing two goals as she drops to 1-1-1 in net this season.
  • Classmate Meghan Deneen tallied two shots, one on net, while freshman Connie Patturelli had three shots, with one on target.

How it Happened
Swidorski saw action in net early for the Hawks, making two saves in the first five minutes of the match to keep the score at 0-0.

The Hawks had their best scoring opportunity of the match in the 31st minute when Patturelli found herself alone in the right side of the box, shooting a shot across her body that narrowly missed the bottom left corner of the net, rolling out of play for a goal kick.

Jefferson got on the board in the 50th minute as Nikki Dedes headed in the tiebreaker off a corner kick from Mia Ferrara.

Patturelli had another scoring chance, gathering the ball right outside the box before spinning and lifting a shot on net but the Rams goalkeeper secured the shot attempt.

Kyra Lesko tacked on an insurance goal for Jefferson in the 85th minute as she weaved through the Hawks defense, rocketing a left-footed shot past the dive of Swidorski that made the score 2-0, putting the game out of reach.
