MANSFIELD, Mass. – Three student-athletes from the Saint Anselm College baseball team earned year-end honors from the Northeast-10 Conference (NE10), announced by the league on Thursday. Freshman Gabe Knudsen (Hanover, Mass.) was named to the All-NE10 Second Team, while freshman Jackson Powers (Woburn, Mass.) earned a spot on the All-NE10 Third Team. Both Knudsen and Powers were also selected to the All-Rookie Team, where they were joined by fellow freshman George Slauson (Plymouth, Mass.).
Knudsen is the first Saint Anselm student-athlete to earn All-NE10 Second Team honors since Robert Kelly '13 in 2012. He is the first Hawks pitcher named to any of the three All-NE10 teams since John Healy '12 earned First Team recognition that same year. This spring, Knudsen led the team and is currently tied for ninth in the NE10 with 64 strikeouts, a total that ties for eighth-most in a single season in program history. His 8.00 strikeouts per seven innings ranks ninth all-time. He also leads the Hawks in wins (5), ERA (5.14), and WHIP (1.36) among pitchers with at least five appearances.
Powers became just the fourth third baseman in program history to earn All-NE10 honors and the first since John Welch '07 was named to the Second Team in 2004. Powers posted a .343 batting average, second-best on the team, while also finishing second in slugging percentage (.526) and tying for second in home runs (5) in his rookie season. He ranked in the team's top five in runs scored (27), RBIs (23), hits (47), doubles (10), and total bases (72). He recorded 13 multi-hit games this year, including a four-hit, three-run effort in a win over Saint Michael's on April 29th.
Slauson, an All-Rookie Team selection, put together an incredibly impressive freshman season for the Hawks. He led the team in doubles (12), home runs (10), slugging percentage (.627), total bases (94), walks (31), RBIs (44), and sacrifice flies (6). He ranks sixth in the NE10 in OPS (1.078) and leads the conference in sacrifice flies as well. Slauson already appears throughout the Saint Anselm single-season record book, ranking ninth in slugging percentage, fifth in RBIs, and fourth in walks. He is also tied for fifth in home runs and tied for first in sacrifice flies.
Knudsen, Powers, and Slauson are the eighth, ninth, and 10th players in program history to earn All-Rookie Team honors, joining the most recent selection, Dylan Bedder '23 in 2021.
Saint Anselm concluded the 2025 season on Wednesday with a loss to Franklin Pierce in the opening round of the NE10 Championship. The Hawks finished the campaign with an overall record of 15-31, including a 9-16 mark in conference play.
