Women's Track & Field Wins Ed Daniels Invitational

MANCHESTER, N.H. –Saint Anselm women's track & field took home the team title at the Ed Daniels Invitational, finishing first among 15 teams. The Hawks tallied 152 points—13 clear of the runner-up—to cap off a dominant outing.

The team saw standout performances across the board, including event wins in the 800m and 400m hurdles, with several athletes also setting new career bests throughout the meet.

  • Saint Anselm has a quick turnaround, returning to action at the Merrimack College Alumni Classic on Thursday, April 17th. 


EVENT WINNERS:

  • Freshman Sam Ducharme (Bedford, N.H.) earned her first collegiate win in the 800m, clocking in at 2:19.99 to finish a full second ahead of the field. It marked her first event victory since the 4x400m relay at the NE10 Indoor Championships.

  • Sophomore Meredith Pasquarosa (Beverly, Mass.) impressed in her debut in the 400m hurdles, winning the event with a time of 1:05.11. She also helped lead the Hawks' 4x100m relay team to a second-place finish in 54.67.


HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Sophomore Sophia Morin (Brunswick, Maine) set career bests in both the shot put (11.32m) and the hammer throw (42.22m), finishing fourth and sixth, respectively. She also placed fourth in the javelin with a mark of 38.98m.

  • Junior Harmony Marquez (Rutherford, N.J.) posted her best throw of the outdoor season in the javelin, finishing third with a distance of 39.60m.

  • Sophomore Ava Houle (Litchfield, N.H.) took second place in both the long jump (5.19m) and the triple jump (11.13m).

  • Freshman Jessica Bremberg (Saugus, Mass.) set a career best in the long jump with a mark of 5.19m, earning a third-place finish. She also placed fourth in the 400m with a time of 1:03.03.

  • Sophomore Sara Harris (Meredith, N.H.) reached a career-best 5.11m in the long jump to take fifth and placed third in the triple jump at 10.22m.

  • Freshman Reese Nicolosi (Pelham, N.H.) recorded career bests in both the 400m hurdles (1:05.13) and 100m hurdles (15.40), finishing second in the 400m hurdles—just two-hundredths of a second behind teammate Meredith Pasquarosa.

  • Freshman Petrina Ofori (Hudson, N.H.) also tallied career bests in the 400m hurdles (1:07.31) and 100m hurdles (15.43), while finishing third in the high jump, clearing 1.47m.

  • Junior Rebecca Cady (Lowell, Mass.) contributed to the Hawks' second-place finish in the 4x100m relay (54.67) and earned a third-place finish in the 200m with a time of 25.41.
