MANCHESTER, NH –Saint Anselm men's track & field secured a second-place team finish at the Ed Daniels Invitational, hosted by SNHU. The Hawks racked up 123 points on the day—27 clear of third-place SNHU and just 23 points shy of meet winner UMass Lowell.
Alongside a slew of career-best performances, two Hawks captured individual titles: freshman Leo Sheriff (Beverly, Mass.) in the 110m hurdles and freshman Logan Montgomery (Weare, N.H.) in the 400m.

Freshman Leo Sheriff (Beverly, Mass.) continued his strong season with a career-best 15.06 in the 100m hurdles, earning his second win of the season in the event. Sheriff also topped the podium earlier this spring at the SNHU Invitational.

Freshman Logan Montgomery (Weare, N.H.) made a statement in his outdoor debut, winning the 400m in dominant fashion with a time of 48.09—over a full second ahead of the next closest finisher. Montgomery also captured the 400m title during the NE10 Indoor Championships back in February.

Freshman Colin Burns (Beverly, Mass.) opened the day with a personal best in the hammer throw, launching a 42.58m toss to beat his previous mark by over a meter.

In the 5000m, junior Christian Wetzel (Pembroke, Mass.) cracked the sub-16-minute barrier for the first time, placing third with a career-best time of 15:49.03.

Freshman Mubeshire Bradshaw (Littleton, Mass.) cleared 4.10m on his first attempt in the pole vault, earning a second-place finish.

Freshman Parker Gleckman (Atkinson, N.H.) jumped 6.58m to place fourth and set a career-best. He later followed with a fourth-place 13.17m leap in the triple jump—his second time clearing 13 meters in that event.

Freshman Luke Halvorsen (Darien, Conn.) set a PR in the long jump, narrowly topping his January mark with a 6.48m jump.

Saint Anselm's 4x100m squad claimed second place with a blistering 41.73 finish. Seniors Kaleb Lewis (Austin, Texas) and Bowen Lewis (Austin, Texas), freshman Joseph D'Angelo (Pembroke, Mass.), and junior Jaidin Haynes (Sayreville, N.J.) came just 0.16 seconds shy of first.

Haynes also shined individually, running a career-best 10.80 in the 100m prelims to qualify for the final. He followed it up with a 10.83 in the final, good for fourth place overall.

Freshman Hunter Beaudoin (Sandown, N.H.) notched a career-best time of 50.36 in the 400m to finish fourth.

Sophomore Clifford Teixeira (Nashua, N.H.) clocked a 2:01.95 in the 800m—his best outdoor mark and just half a second off his all-time PR.
