MANCHESTER, N.H. –Saint Anselm men's track & field opened their outdoor season at the SNHU Spring Invite, earning three individual first-place finishes and setting multiple career bests.

EVENT WINNERS:

Freshman Joseph D'Angelo (Pembroke, Mass.) won the 100m by two-hundredths of a second, running a career-best 10.87. He also competed in the 200m, finishing fourth with a time of 22.90.

Freshman Leo Sheriff (Beverly, Mass.) took first place in the 110m hurdles, winning by four-tenths of a second with a career-best time of 15.35.

Freshman Mubeshire Bradshaw (Littleton, Mass.) won the pole vault by clearing 3.95 meters, nearly half a meter ahead of the runner-up. He also set a career best in the long jump, reaching 5.51 meters.
HIGHLIGHTS:

Freshman Jared Ferschke (Dudley, Mass.) finished third in the discus, tying his career best with a 37.95-meter toss. He also set a career best in the hammer throw, reaching 38.01 meters.

Junior Kyle Pierce (Jamestown, R.I.) recorded a career best in the hammer throw, reaching 40.72 meters to finish seventh.

Junior Christian Wetzel (Pembroke, Mass.) set a career best in the 5000m, finishing with a time of 16:04.24.

Freshman Peter Hogan (Newport, N.H.) set a career best in the long jump (6.49 meters), finishing sixth. He also recorded career highs in the discus (32.53 meters) and javelin throw (39.14 meters).

Sophomore Samuel Jones (Salem, N.H.) finished sixth in the 400m with a career-best time of 50.52.

Sophomore Brady Ash (Kingston, N.H.) placed fifth in the 400m hurdles with a career-best time of 59.49.
