3/13/2025 4:00:00 PM

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Saint Anselm College softball team is heading to Florida for a six-day stretch at the Space Coast Games, where they will play 10 games against six opponents. The Hawks will look to improve on their 3-3 record so far this season while in the Sunshine State.

Through six games this year, Saint Anselm has been led offensively by senior Sam Wiberg (Exeter, N.H.). Her .579 batting average ranks fourth-best in all of NCAA Division II this season. In the pitching circle, sophomore Sam Ryan (Tewksbury, Mass.) has been the team's workhorse, earning all three of the Hawks' wins while maintaining a 2.95 ERA. In 19 innings pitched, Ryan has faced 79 batters without surrendering a single walk.

Saint Anselm begins play at the Space Coast Games on Friday, March 14th, at 10:00 a.m. against Minnesota Crookston, a team they currently hold a 2-0 all-time record against. They follow that up with a 12:15 p.m. matchup against Ursuline on the same day The Hawks will look to improve on their 5-2 all-time record against the Arrows in what will be their only meeting at the event.

The action continues on Saturday, March 15th, with a 12:15 p.m. rematch against Minnesota Crookston. Later that afternoon, Saint Anselm takes on Post at 2:30 p.m. for their first meeting against the Eagles since 2016. The Eagles hold a slight 3-2 edge in the all-time series against the Hawks.

Sunday, March 16th, features a doubleheader against Molloy with games at 10:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. With both teams currently tied at 3-3 in the all-time series, the winner of these matchups will claim the series lead.

After a day off on Saint Patrick's Day, the Hawks return to action on Tuesday, March 18th, at 12:15 p.m. against Eckerd in what will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs. Later that afternoon, they face UT Dallas at 4:45 p.m., another first-time opponent for Saint Anselm.
