Crimson Open Round Up: Women's Track & Field

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College women's track & field team competed at the Crimson Open on Saturday February 8th.  

UP NEXT: 
  • Saint Anselm will travel to Boston Massachusetts for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University on Friday February 14th into Saturday February 15th.
HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Two Hawks competed in the shot put event on the women's side of the field. Sophomore Sophia Morin (Brunswick, Maine) tabbed the furthest throw for Saint Anselm with a 11.14 meter mark. Junior Brianne Rett (Uxbridge, Mass.) slotted right behind Morin with a distance of 10.84 meters. 
  • Sophomore Sara Harris (Meredith, N.H.) competed in the long jump event grabbing a distance of 4.80 meters. 
  • In the 60 meter hurdles freshman Reese Nicolosi (Pelham, N.H.) grabbed a mark of 9.42, her personal best time in the event. 
  • Sophomore Mia Cruz (Nashua, N.H.) ran in the 60 meter dash grabbing a time of 7.99. 
  • Rounding out the highlights was sophomore Chloe Lawrence (Pocono Pines, Pa.) who notched a 2.80 meter mark in the pole vault, her personal best mark. 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Nicolosi grabbed a personal best in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.42. 
  • Morin also hit a personal best in the shot put event with her 11.14 meter mark. 
  • Lawrence was the third Hawk to grab a person best with her height in the pole vault event.
