Hawks Finish Program Best Third at Northeast-10 Indoor Championship Meet

BOSTON, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College women's track & field team competed at Northeast-10 Championship Meet over the weekend, taking home third of the eight competing teams highlighted by a champion title in the 4 x 400 relay team of Rebecca Cady (Lowell, Mass.), Meredith Pasquarosa (Beverly, Mass.), Sam Ducharme (Bedford, N.H.), and Jessica Bremberg (Saugus, Mass.).

UP NEXT: 
  • Saint Anselm will travel to Boston, Massachusetts for the New England Championships during the weekend of March 7th and 8th at the Reggie Lewis Center.  
HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Senior Nora Conway (Stoneham, Mass.) kick started the weekend for the women earning a silver place finish in the 5000-meter run, her personal best time in the event.
  • Sophomore Meredith Pasquarosa (Beverly, Mass.) grabbed a pair of 6th place finishes with the first coming in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.99 and second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.06.  
  • Mia Cruz (Nashua, N.H.) tabbed another silver place finish for the Hawks in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.89.  
  • Senior Ava O'Donnell (Raynham, Mass.) grabbed a bronze place finish in the 1-mile run and a 5th place finish in the 800-meter run, earning a personal best time in both events.
  • Rebecca Cady (Lowell, Mass.) had a successful day on the track with a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a personal best time of 57.40 and a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with another personal best time of 25.38.
  • Rookie Sam Ducharme (Bedford, N.H.) earning a silver place finish in the 800-meter with her personal best time of 2:16.12.
  • Junior Brianna Rett (Uxbridge, Mass.) had a great day in field events with two new personal records, first in the weight throw with a mark of 13.59 meters earning an 8th place finish and then in the shot put with a mark of 11.55 meters giving her a 5th place finish.
  • Freshman Petrina Ofori (Hudson, N.H.) grabbed a personal record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.43 and a 9th place finish, and a 4th place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.50 meters.
  • The highlight of the afternoon came with the Hawks victory in the 4 x 400-meter relay race with the crew of Cady, Pasquarosa, Ducharme, Jessica Bremberg (Saugus, Mass.) finishing with a time of 3:58.28.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • The Hawks brought home a third place finish at the Northeast-10 Indoor Championship.
