MANSFIELD, Mass. – For the 16th time in program history and the second time in the last three seasons, the Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey team has been crowned the Regular Season Champion of the Northeast-10 Conference (NE10).
Under seventh-year head coach
Larry Rocha '79, Saint Anselm concluded the 2024-25 regular season with a 16-3-1 record in conference play. Their 50 points were the most in the history of the league and were 15 points higher than second place Saint Michael's. By finishing in first place out of the six competing teams in the NE10, the Hawks earned the top seed and a First Round bye in the 2025 NE10 Men's Ice Hockey Championship.
The Hawks automatically go through to the NE10 Semifinals, which will be played on Saturday, February 22nd at 4:00 p.m. from the Sullivan Arena. Saint Anselm will host #4 seed Assumption. The Hawks have a 2-2-0 record this season and a 37-18-3 record all-time against the Greyhounds.
As a program, Saint Anselm leads the NE10 with 11 conference postseason titles. Their last appearance in the NE10 Championship game was during the 2022-23 season when they defeated Saint Michael's, 5-1. Additionally, their 18 appearances in the title game are the most of any NE10 institution, current or former.
After starting their league schedule with a 4-3 record, Saint Anselm has won 11 straight conference games. During that streak, the Hawks have won all 11 games by at least two goals.
Senior
Hunter Brackett (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) is leading Saint Anselm and the NE10 with 20 goals and 40 points this season. Additionally, his 20 assists are the most on the team and rank second in the conference. Brackett, who was recently
named a semifinalist for the prestigious Joe Concannon Award, has scored the most goals in a single season by a Saint Anselm student-athlete since
Mike Richard '13 scored 20 for the Hawks during the 2012-13 campaign. The forward takes a nine-game point streak into the postseason. He has 17 points over that span with seven goals and 10 assists.
Including Brackett, the Hawks' offense features four student-athletes who rank in the top 10 in the conference with 20 or more points this season. Senior
Max Burum (Marshfield, Mass.) is third in the NE10 with 27 points on eight goals and 19 assists, junior
Luke Linart (Holland, Mich.) is tied for sixth in the league with 23 points on nine goals and 14 assists, and junior
Garrett Alberti (Wilmington, Mass.) is tied for eighth in the conference with 22 points on 13 goals and nine assists.
As a result, Saint Anselm leads the NE10 with 3.96 goals per game and 111 total goals this winter, which is 24 more than the next closest team. The Hawks are also second in the conference in faceoff percentage (.512) and have taken the fewest penalties in the league this year (109). The team boasts the best power play percentage (.205) and the third-best penalty killing percentage (.838) in the conference as well.

He leads the league in games played (23), is fourth in saves per game (30.13), and ranks fifth in both goals against average (2.98) and save percentage (.911).
