How it Happened

The Purple Knights struck first with the lone goal in the opening period as Sj LeComte put one home with at 14:08 in the period.

Saint Michael's opened the scoring in the second period with goals from Patrick Last and Quinn McCarthy. Not long after, Brayden Maumann and Aj Sacco both found the back of the net, capping off a four-goal second period to extend the Purple Knights' lead to 5-0 heading into the third.

The Hawks got on the board at the 3:27 mark of the third period when a stretch pass from Connolly made its way up the ice to senior Garrett Alberti who made a move to escape a defenseman before finding Collins streaking towards the goal, wristing the puck into the top left corner.

Sophomore Brendan Manning recorded a shot on net that resulted in a rebound in front that sophomore Justin Tremblay found and put home for Saint Anselm's second goal of the game at the 11:05 mark of the third.
