MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey team was defeated in their Northeast 10 Conference opener, 4-1, by Saint Michael's College on Friday night at Sullivan Arena.

How it Happened
The Purple Knights scored twice over a span of 35 seconds to end the first period with a 2-0 lead.
The Hawks scored 4:25 into the second period to cut their deficit to one as sophomore Brendan Manning lit the lamp. Saint Michael's Ty Bloom added his second point of the contest with a power play goal as he scored with 7:28 left in the frame to make it 3-1 before the second intermission.
Saint Michael's added an insurance goal just 34 seconds into the third as it cruised to victory in night one of the weekend series.
