MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm women's basketball team won its second game in a row at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium, defeating Post University, 78-46, in the final game of the Saint Anselm Challenge on Saturday.

- The Hawks improve to 7-0 all-time against Post and are 2-0 to start the season for the first time since 2021.
- Senior Tatum Forbes was the Hawks' leading scorer for the second night in a row, this time scoring 20 points with seven rebounds, seven assists, and two steals, shooting 9-15 from the field.
- Junior Elise MacNair corralled a career-high nine rebounds and scored 16 points with an assist and a steal.
- Junior Kaitlin McDonough recorded her first career double-double with career-highs of 14 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks, converting on seven of her 12 shot attempts.
- Coming off the bench, sophomore Bella Vaz also tallied career-highs in minutes (25), points (8), field goals made (3), and steals (1).
- Saint Anselm shot 45.8% (33-72) from the field, forced 24 turnovers, and won the points in the paint battle, 40-22.
How it Happened
Saint Anselm led for most of the first quarter, despite the Eagles making their first two shot attempts to take an early lead. Forbes and MacNair had their shots falling early as Forbes scored 10 and MacNair had eight points in the first quarter as the Hawks led 25-20.
Post made it a one-point game, 27-26, after getting a three-pointer to fall, but Vaz halted the Eagles' run with a three of her own. The Eagles hung around within one, 30-29, but the Hawks finished the half on an 11-2 run, leading by 10, 41-31, at the break.
Forbes scored eight consecutive points for the Hawks in the third quarter, and Vaz capped off the run with a three-pointer as the Hawks led 56-39 with just over a minute to go in the third. Senior
Harmony Marquez ended the quarter with a steal before getting fouled and going 1-2 at the charity stripe with Saint Anselm in front 57-39 heading into the fourth.

Brianna James knocked down both of her three-point attempts to lead Saint Anselm in the quarter.

The Saint Anselm women's basketball team (2-0, 0-0 NE10) travels to Flushing, N.Y., for the Knights Thanksgiving Invitational, where the Hawks will take on Molloy University (1-0, 0-0 ECC) to open play on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 3 p.m. at the South Gym on the campus of Queens College.
